“The way a team plays as a whole determines its success.” Babe Ruth
Sports analogies. As a coach’s kid, I believe I have heard them all. Most of them are about teamwork and supporting one another.
I learned early on that the sports terminology was actually my dad’s way of teaching me about being a team player in the game of life.
“Get in the game and play hard, or, if you have to, cheer from the bench!”
The Toddford, my dad, and I have been inspired by real pets in our family who stuck together and showed unconditional love. Through our collaboration on The Pee Wee and Buddy series, we aspire to use animals' positive ways of living to influence readers, young and old.
The two of us are determined to develop a deeper understanding of the tremendous role of acceptance, sticking together, kindness, and patience.
We strive to reach the readers through simple stories characterizing our canine friends, Pee Wee and Buddy, using animals and dog humor in the series and making it to teach kids and adults about respect for others, no matter how different they may be.
We convey that pets will always bring us endless comfort and are beneficial for stable mental and emotional health. They will soothe the feeling of loneliness and lots.
A genuine sense of passionate devotion, outstanding loyalty, unbreakable trust, and selfless love are their unique assets in our lives.
Your pet is your teammate!
The Toddford’s and my hopes for the Pee Wee and Buddy series are to teach good ole-fashioned manners, loving-kindness, and true friendship.
“A single leaf working alone provides no shade.”
