Now what?

“Now what?”

What if the government decides that for you? Does that mean you have no choice?

As long as you're conscious, you're making choices. You're not always aware of the process but it's there. This is important: the conditions that conspire to present you with your current set of choices are not always under your control, but the way you respond to them is.

It's said 95% of high school students don't know what they want to do. 25% have parents that have picked their career path for them.

Nowadays there are thousands of career paths to follow. However, in the late 1960s, during the war in Vietnam, male high school graduates were subject to the draft, or they made the choice to enroll in college. It would be the option of life or possibly death.

“Life is about choices. Some we regret, some we’re proud of. Some will haunt us forever. The message: we are what we chose to be.” —Graham Brown

Do you regret what you’ve chosen to be?
